DCAMU: Movie – 2 | The heroes band together

In the second post of this series we talk about the Justice League: War animated movie which is based on Justice League: Origin in the New 52 event. You can read about the first movie of this series here. When I read this Comic in June 2017 little did I know that this is going to be the base for Zack Snyder’s Justice League and also for badly chopped Joss Whedon’s version. I even wrote that in my Goodreads review foreseeing this. *Pats me in the back*

Let’s jump right into the plot without spoiling it. A lot of abductions happen in Gotham City and people believe it was Batman, due to the footage shared online. Green Lantern stops one abduction, little did he know what he was facing. From there on series of incidents happen which bands the rest of the heroes to form alliances and beat the most powerful person in the DC Universe.

Darkseid used to be a Superman villain primarily, in fact, Darkseid first appeared in a Superman Comic. He was created by Jack “the King” Kirby. Over the years Darkseid has grown to be the powerful foe for the entirety of the DC universe, hence he became a Villain for Justice League altogether.

Unlike in Zack Snyder’s movie, all the heroes meet for the first time. They fight for power, to brush their ego’s and what not? In the end, they band together to fight Darkseid. Apart from the ones we saw in the Live action movie, there are Green Lantern and Shazam who also fight alongside the big guns and Cyborg.

Unless you don’t know the characters much there are little to no Character arcs that you could find in this 79 Minutes movie. From hereon the journey of the Justice League in the “New 52” universe will start and they are about to come across many such foes who they have to fight together.

Have you read this comic or watched the Movie? If so, which one did you like the most? Do share your thoughts in the comments. Let’s chat there. If you haven’t watched the movie, please do. It is a short and fun movie.

Happy Watching ?
