Siva directed by Ameerjan is one of the big-budget movies from the Director. Unlike other movies back then this movie had Rajni and Raguvaran playing friends and foes. I loved this film when I was a kid and again this is another banger of an album from Illayaraja for Thalaivar.
Raajathi Raja is one of the widely popular albums of Thalaivar and Maestro so popular that they sold 22000 cassettes back then. While many must have listened to all the songs from this film, this song might have slipped out because the song was not part of the film but only the album and went unnoticed.
Sometime back when I wrote about a song from the Movie Pandiyan, I mentioned that it is one of the GOAT albums from Illayaraja during the 90s, and here’s another favorite song of mine which not only captures the stylish Rajnikanth but also the ever-gorgeous Kushboo.
Mazhalai Endrum Maaradha is featured in the Sethupathi IPS movie. The entire album itself is a gem, but Saathu Nada Saathu overshadowed all of them. I still remember watching this film in theaters, closing my eyes, and waiting for the boy to meet Sethupathi IPS during that song sequence.
